WHY A BATTERY CAN START IN THE GARAGE—THEN STRUGGLE OUTSIDE

The cold can expose a weakness
you didn’t notice before.

Cold slows a lead-acid battery’s chemical reaction. At the same time, cold oil and mechanical resistance can make the engine harder to turn. A battery that seemed adequate in the garage may struggle when the sled has been sitting outside.

The click is a symptom—not a complete diagnosis. Low charge, a worn battery, poor connections or a starter-system fault can produce similar complaints.

01 / SLOW CRANK OR CLICK?

Check charge and connections.

Inspect the terminals and cables. A loose or corroded connection can restrict power even when the battery has charge.

02 / WEAK AFTER SITTING?

Look at what happens parked.

Storage, accessory draw and short rides can leave the battery undercharged. Replacing the battery alone won’t fix an electrical drain.

03 / STILL STRUGGLING?

Test before you guess.

Follow the battery’s charging instructions and have its condition checked under load. Resting voltage alone does not prove starting capacity.

Start with the fundamentals.
The correct battery, proper preparation, a healthy starting system and a good charging routine work together. BRS handles the preparation and helps you choose the fit.

THE SUPER CHARGED DIFFERENCE

The work starts before
you turn the key.

You shouldn’t have to wonder whether your new battery was properly prepared.

Super Charged is our preparation process. BRS handles activation and charging in our Ontario shop, including our pulse-conditioning step, before the final voltage check.

For you, that means a battery that arrives prepared, with a real team behind it. No acid pack to fill. No guessing whether the initial charge was done.

It’s more than the battery in the box.
It’s the preparation before shipping—and the people you can contact after it arrives.

01 / PRECISION FILL

Care from the start.

The activation process is handled in our shop.

02 / DEEP SOAK

Time to absorb.

Time is allowed for the AGM material to absorb electrolyte before charging.

03 / SUPER CHARGE

Controlled charging.

Our charging and pulse-conditioning step prepares the battery before dispatch.

04 / VERIFICATION

A hands-on check.

Charge and condition are checked before the battery leaves.

05 / READY TO SHIP

Prepared for your install.

Your battery arrives activated, charged and checked.

BUY THE RIGHT BATTERY. GET BACK TO RIDING.

Your next ride starts
with the right fit.

Not every snowmobile uses the same battery. The right dimensions, terminal layout and specifications matter as much as the name on the case.

  • Know your machine? Use your year, make and model in the finder already above this page.
  • Have the old battery? Keep the complete code and a photo of the terminals handy.
  • Not certain? Let BRS help check the details before you order.

Replacing Yuasa, YTX, DTX, ETX, WPX, CTX or GTX? Similar codes alone do not confirm compatibility. Compare the complete specifications.

THINK BEYOND THIS WINTER

8–12

Years of potential service.
With proper care.

BRS describes 8–12 years as potential service life with proper maintenance. That starts with preparation—but it continues with how you use, charge and store it.

Long service life is a goal you maintain, not a reason to forget about your battery. Keep it charged, address electrical drains and follow the recommended storage routine.

Potential lifespan is not warranty coverage.
The 8–12-year range is not a guaranteed result or an 8–12-year warranty. Actual life varies with use, charging, storage and machine condition. Check your selected product for its warranty terms.

PROTECT YOUR BATTERY BETWEEN RIDES

The Big Three: charge, clean, secure.

A sled sitting in the garage can still need battery attention. Make charging and storage part of your routine.

  • Check the state of charge between rides and before storage.
  • Investigate parasitic drains instead of repeatedly boosting a flat battery.
  • Use an AGM-compatible smart charger or maintainer according to the battery and charger instructions.
  • Keep terminals clean and tight. Secure the battery with the correct hold-down and follow the machine’s storage guidance.

AGM FOR THE WAY YOU RIDE

Sealed construction.
Practical battery care.

Absorbed Glass Mat technology holds electrolyte in glass mats inside the battery. The sealed design means no routine water top-ups.

  • Rough trails: secure the battery properly and keep connections tight.
  • Seasonal use: maintain charge when the machine sits.
  • Cold starts: match the required battery specifications and keep the starting system healthy.
Maintenance-free does not mean charge-free.
Sealed AGM still needs proper charging, clean terminals and a secure installation.

SAME PREPARATION. CHOOSE YOUR COVERAGE.

Buy the setup that makes
sense for your sled.

Compare the battery, warranty option and included accessories together. Availability varies by model and package.

SHORTER COVERAGE

30-day options

For buyers considering a lower upfront price with shorter replacement coverage. Confirm the exact terms on the product page.

LONGER COVERAGE

2-year options

For buyers who want longer full-replacement protection, subject to the selected product’s warranty conditions.

PLAN FOR STORAGE

Charger bundles

Compare available battery-and-charger packages if you also need a compatible maintainer. Check battery and charger warranties separately.

Check your chosen listing for current price, availability, coverage and included accessories.

PRACTICAL ANSWERS BEFORE YOU BUY

Know what you’re ordering.

Will a BRS battery fit my snowmobile?

Fit depends on the exact year, make and model. Use the sled finder, then confirm dimensions, polarity, terminal style and required specifications. Contact BRS if you’re unsure.

What does Super Charged mean?

It refers to the BRS preparation process: activation, charging and pulse conditioning in our shop, followed by a voltage check before shipping. It is not a promise that every machine will start at every temperature.

Does my battery arrive ready to install?

BRS Super Batteries arrive activated, charged and checked. Confirm fitment and follow the supplied instructions and your sled’s installation guidance.

Will my battery last 8–12 years?

That is a potential service-life range with proper maintenance, not a guaranteed outcome. Usage, state of charge, storage, electrical drains and machine condition affect lifespan. Follow the battery-care instructions.

Is the 8–12-year potential an 8–12-year warranty?

No. Service life and warranty are different. Check the exact product and option you select for current warranty coverage, conditions and included accessories.

Should I choose a battery or a charger bundle?

If you already have a suitable AGM-compatible charger, check its instructions and compatibility. If you need a charger, compare the available bundles in the snowmobile collection. Read the listing to confirm what is included.

Can I replace a Yuasa or another battery brand?

Brand or code similarity alone is not enough. Compare the complete battery specifications and terminal layout for your machine. BRS can help check your existing code before you order.
