Family-owned battery specialists serving powersports owners across Canada and the USA.

Before you buy another powersports battery

Most Batteries Don’t Die of Old Age. They Die From Neglect.

Here is the part most battery sellers never explain—and what you can do to get stronger starts, fewer ruined weekends, and years more life from your next battery.

  • Prepared and checked before it leaves our battery shop
  • Sealed AGM power for ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles and snowmobiles
  • Built for people who want the machine to start when it matters

Choose by vehicle, year, make, model and engine size.

The uncomfortable truth

A Cheap Battery Is Expensive When It Kills Your Weekend.

You load the ATV. You drive out to camp. The weather is perfect. Everyone is ready—and the machine gives you one slow click.

That is when a battery stops being a small part hidden under the seat. It becomes the one thing standing between you and the ride, the trail, the job, or the trip you planned all week.

Most people blame the battery brand. Sometimes that is fair. But many powersports batteries fail early for a simpler reason: they were not properly prepared, they sat undercharged, or they were never kept on a maintainer.

The real problem is not always the battery you bought. It is what happened to it before you installed it—and what happened every time the machine sat.

That is the difference BRS was built around. We do more than put a label on a battery and send it out the door. We prepare it, charge it, check it, and show you how to protect it after every ride.

SKIMMING? READ THIS ONE LINE:

A battery that stays charged has a much better chance of starting strong and lasting for years. A battery left low slowly damages itself.

The hidden battery killer

Your Battery Can Be Dying While the Machine Is Parked.

Every day a battery sits below full charge, harmful buildup can form on the plates. The longer it stays low, the harder it becomes to recover.

The usual cycle

Ride the machine. Park it. Forget about the battery. Weeks later, charge it only after it becomes weak.

  • Slow starts get worse over time
  • Cold weather exposes the weakness
  • The battery loses useful capacity
  • You replace it sooner than expected

The BRS routine

Start with a properly prepared battery. Keep it fully charged with a smart maintainer when the machine sits.

  • Stronger, more dependable starts
  • Better support for cold-weather use
  • Less stress during storage
  • A real chance at much longer life

The missing link most sellers skip

A New Battery Is Not Finished Just Because It Came Out of a Factory.

Inside a new lead-acid battery, the active material on the plates still needs to be properly formed and prepared before it is asked to deliver hard starting power.

Think of it like fresh concrete. It may look solid on the surface, but rushing it before it is ready can shorten its useful life. The first fill, soak and charge are not small details. They help set the battery up for everything that follows.

The common shortcut

A dry battery is filled quickly, connected to a basic charger, and put into service before the internal material has had enough time to absorb the electrolyte and complete a controlled first charge. Too much heat or too much speed can work against the battery before the first ride.

The BRS approach

BRS uses a controlled high-frequency charging process to prepare and form the plates. The goal is simple: fully activate the battery, increase usable plate surface area, and verify strong starting performance before it leaves our shop.

The part you cannot see—the way the plates are prepared—can matter more than the label you can see.

Our five-step Super process

The Difference Happens Before You Turn the Key.

We do not pull a battery from a shelf and hope it is ready. We prepare it in a controlled sequence, then check the result.

1
Precision fillWe use 1.265 specific-gravity electrolyte and fill the battery carefully instead of rushing the job.
2
Deep soakThe battery rests so the AGM material can absorb the electrolyte throughout the cell.
3
High-frequency Super ChargeControlled energy pulses help activate and form the internal plates without relying on a harsh garage fast-charge.
4
More active plate surfaceThe forming process is designed to create more usable surface area for dependable starting performance.
5
The final examWe verify charge and condition before shipping. If the battery is not ready, it does not leave.

Long life is a partnership

We Prepare It Right. You Keep It Ready.

Three simple habits give your battery its best chance at years of dependable service.

🔌1. Use a smart maintainer

Connect it after each ride and during storage. Do not wait for the battery to become weak.

🧼2. Keep terminals clean

Clean, tight connections help the battery deliver power without needless resistance.

🔩3. Keep it tied down

A secure battery is better protected from movement, vibration and damaged connections.

The 8–12 year secret

The Best Battery in the World Still Needs One Simple Habit.

Keep it on a smart maintainer after every ride—especially when the machine sits.

Low charge is one of the biggest reasons batteries die early. It also becomes more obvious in deep cold. For dependable starting in temperatures down to -30°C, the battery needs to be healthy and fully charged.

  • Connect the maintainer after the ride
  • Leave it connected during storage
  • Do not wait until the battery is already weak
  • Check cables and charging-system health

An 8–12 year service life is possible with proper fitment, charging, use and maintenance. It is not a guarantee for every battery or application.

Choose the right fit and protection

The Best Battery Is the One That Actually Fits Your Machine.

Match by machine type, year, make, model, engine size, battery dimensions and terminal position.

Don’t see your year, make or model?

Do not guess. Send BRS your machine type, year, make, model and engine size—or the number printed on your current battery. We will help confirm the fit before you order.

Use your machine type, year, make, model and CC to match the right battery. If your exact machine is not listed, contact BRS and we will help confirm fitment before you order.

Batteries built by riders, for riders

A Note From Andy Mainville

I ride snowmobiles and ATVs, so I know exactly how it feels when you are ready to go and your machine answers with the “click, click, click” sound of a dead battery.

That frustration is one reason we do things differently. BRS Battery grew from hands-on work with industrial batteries used in demanding equipment—including mining and locomotive applications. We learned how batteries fail, how they recover, and why the first charge and ongoing care matter.

We brought that same practical thinking to powersports batteries. We fill them carefully, let them soak, form and charge the plates, check the battery before it leaves, and tell you the truth about keeping it on a maintainer.

We are not trying to sell you another disposable battery. We want to help you buy the right one, care for it properly, and get back to riding.

Questions skeptical buyers ask

Good Questions Deserve Straight Answers.

Can a BRS Super Battery really last 8–12 years?
It can be possible when the battery is correctly matched, properly prepared, kept fully charged, installed correctly and maintained during storage. Actual life depends on the machine, use, charging system, climate and care. The 8–12 year range is not a guarantee for every battery.
Why does keeping it charged matter so much?
A battery left undercharged can lose capacity and become harder to recover. Cold weather also demands more from the battery. Keeping it fully charged gives it a better chance to start strongly and last longer.
Is the BRS Super Battery maintenance-free?
The sealed AGM design does not require routine water filling. “Maintenance-free” does not mean “charge-free.” Batteries in seasonal machines still benefit from a smart maintainer.
How do I know which battery fits?
Use the collection to choose your vehicle type, year, make, model and engine size. When you are unsure, contact BRS before ordering.
What if my machine sits all winter?
Connect a smart maintainer rather than leaving the battery to slowly discharge. The BRS Super Charger BRS612 is designed to charge and maintain 6V and 12V batteries.

Your Battery Should Be the Last Thing You Worry About When It Is Time to Ride.
