GYEON Q² PPF EVO Ceramic Coating 50ml
GYEON Q² PPF EVO Ceramic Coating 50ml
Ceramic Protection Designed for Paint Protection Film
GYEON Q² PPF EVO is a ceramic coating developed for paint protection film and compatible vinyl wraps. It adds a water-repellent, easier-to-clean surface to film that is already protecting your vehicle. The formula is designed to work with the flexibility of PPF, helping maintain its appearance while improving resistance to dirt, staining and environmental exposure.
Paint protection film and a ceramic coating perform different jobs. The film provides the physical barrier; the coating improves how its exposed surface handles water and contamination. PPF EVO is a useful additional step for owners who want to make washing easier and help keep their film looking clean between detailing sessions.
Benefits for Gloss, Satin and Matte PPF
- Water repellency: encourages beading and runoff on treated film.
- Easier cleaning: helps reduce the buildup and adhesion of everyday dirt.
- Resistance to staining: provides additional surface protection against road contamination and environmental exposure.
- UV resistance: helps slow ageing and discolouration; it does not make film immune to yellowing.
- Film-focused flexibility: designed to preserve PPF flexibility and normal self-healing behaviour.
- Finish compatibility: suitable for modern gloss, satin and matte PPF without being a gloss-adding wax.

How to Apply GYEON PPF EVO
- Confirm the film is ready. For a new installation, follow the installer's waiting period and the film manufacturer's coating guidance before beginning.
- Wash and decontaminate. Remove dirt and contamination using products compatible with the film. Do not use a paint-polishing process automatically on PPF, especially matte or satin finishes.
- Dry and prepare. Remove trapped water from edges and seams. Use GYEON Q²M Prep as directed on compatible film, then wait 15 minutes before coating, following GYEON's current instructions.
- Apply to a manageable section. Work on a cool, dust-free surface in the shade. Load the supplied applicator sufficiently to spread a consistent layer without leaving missed areas.
- Level promptly. GYEON instructs wiping as soon as the coating begins to sweat. Remove excess immediately at that stage with suitable clean coating towels and inspect for streaks or high spots.
- Protect the early cure. Keep rain, condensation and washing water off the film for at least 12 hours. Follow the supplied manual for the remaining cure and first-wash requirements.
Care Tips and Application Precautions
- Check compatibility with any factory-applied film topcoat and test an inconspicuous area first.
- Do not allow excess coating to harden on the surface. Smaller sections make levelling and inspection easier.
- Avoid direct sun during application and plan for overnight dew if the vehicle will remain outside.
- Use a pH-neutral shampoo for routine washing and avoid abrasive cleaners, particularly on matte and satin film.
- Remove bird droppings, insects and other contamination promptly. Protection does not eliminate maintenance.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does PPF EVO replace paint protection film?
No. It coats the film's exposed surface. It does not supply the thickness or physical barrier of PPF and should not be treated as a replacement for film against stone impacts.
Will it make matte or satin PPF glossy?
GYEON lists compatibility with matte and satin PPF and describes it as protecting without adding gloss. Test your specific film first, especially where preserving an exact sheen is important.
Can I coat a freshly wrapped vehicle immediately?
Ask the installer when the film is ready. Installation moisture and the film's own requirements are separate from the coating's cure period; there is no single waiting time suitable for every installation.
Is one 50ml bottle enough for my car?
GYEON's consumption guide is approximately 30–50ml per car. Actual use depends on vehicle size, how much film is installed and application technique, so a large vehicle may need additional product.
Can I apply it outdoors?
Yes, in suitable stable conditions. You need shade, a cool clean surface and a way to keep moisture off the coating during the first 12 hours.
Does coated PPF still need washing?
Yes. Regular gentle washing removes the dirt that can mask water repellency. Clean and inspect the film before assuming reduced beading means the coating needs replacing.
