GYEON Q² Syncro EVO
GYEON Q² Syncro EVO
GYEON Q² Syncro EVO – Mohs EVO and Skin EVO Ceramic Coating System
GYEON Q² Syncro EVO is a two-stage ceramic paint protection system combining Q² Mohs EVO with Q² Skin EVO. Mohs EVO provides the base coating, while Skin EVO adds the finishing layer for increased slickness, water repellency and visual depth.
Choose Syncro EVO when you want the combined behaviour of a base coating and a dedicated topcoat, and can allow time for both application stages. It is available to enthusiasts as well as detailers, with preparation and careful levelling essential to the result. The system enhances the finish you establish before coating rather than correcting paint defects itself.
Key Benefits
- Two complementary products: Combines Mohs EVO’s base protection with Skin EVO’s topcoat properties.
- Enhanced slickness: The finishing layer creates a smoother-feeling surface.
- Hydrophobic performance: Supports strong water repellency and easier cleaning.
- Gloss and depth: Improves the appearance of prepared paint, particularly where colour depth is noticeable.
- Extended protection system: Designed for lasting performance with appropriate installation and maintenance.

How to Use
- Wash, decontaminate and inspect the paint. Complete any desired correction before coating.
- Ensure the finish is cool, completely dry and oil-free. Use Q²M Prep and wait 15 minutes.
- Apply Mohs EVO evenly in manageable sections. Wipe and level when the coating starts to sweat or form small beads.
- Once the base application is complete, apply Skin EVO in the sequence specified by the supplied system manual. Current GYEON guidance proceeds to Skin after completing the base over the vehicle.
- Level Skin EVO promptly; current guidance specifies wiping within approximately 10–30 seconds. Inspect carefully for excess.
- Keep the completed system dry during the first 12 hours and follow the kit’s full curing and first-wash instructions.
Application Tips and Things to Watch For
Use the EVO system instructions, not an older Syncro routine that assumes multiple Mohs layers. Base-coat and topcoat application are separate stages with different behaviour, so allow time and prepare enough clean towels for both.
Do not mix coating liquids in one applicator or bottle. Keep the products clearly identified and apply in the required order. Avoid direct sunlight, dust and conditions that would expose the fresh coating to rain or dew.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does Syncro EVO differ from Mohs EVO alone?
Mohs EVO can provide standalone protection. Syncro EVO adds the dedicated Skin EVO topcoat to change the surface feel and water-repellent behaviour. The extra application stage is the main practical difference during installation.
Do I need three layers?
Current EVO guidance uses the Mohs base and Skin topcoat as a two-stage system. Follow the manual supplied with your kit rather than assuming the layering requirements of earlier Syncro versions.
What is included in the Lightbox?
The Lightbox supplies the Mohs EVO and Skin EVO components, an applicator and instructions. It does not include the separate Cure maintenance bottle supplied with some full-box configurations.
Will it prevent scratches and water spots?
It supports protection and easier maintenance but does not make paint immune to scratching or mineral deposits. Continue careful washing, prompt contaminant removal and proper drying.
How should I maintain Syncro EVO?
After curing, wash with a suitable maintenance shampoo and clean tools. Use a compatible maintenance product when needed and follow the GYEON coating maintenance guide.
